# CheckBox

## `<checkbox>`

- `post-text`, `pre-text`, `checked` (true, false, on, off, 1, 0), `default` (false, off, 0, true, on, 1), `error-message`, `warning-message`, `success-message`
- actions: error, release, select, success, valid, warning
- events: Release, Select

```xml
<application name="CheckBoxText" instances="0">
  <about loader="false"/>
  <view name="cb1" width="260" height="90">
    <panel type="rows" gap="10" padding="8">
      <checkbox name="cbPost" post-text="Checkbox with post-text" checked="true"/>
      <checkbox name="cbPre" pre-text="Checkbox with pre-text"/>
    </panel>
  </view>
</application>
```

## Guidance

- Its text is `post-text` or `pre-text` (a click on it toggles); that text names the box.
- Values: false/true, or on/off with `default="off"`, 1/0 with `default="0"` (`checked="on"` starts it checked); bound, it writes in the pair the node uses.
- Select (checked) and Release (unchecked) fire for the user's toggle and for the `select` and `release` actions, when they change it; not for `set` or the bound document. A setting that applies at once is a `toggle`.
